Endometriosis awareness

On average it takes 7-10 years for women
BC Women's Hospital

After over 20 years of life-altering pain (with no explanation why) I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis. I educated myself about the disease and began advocating to receive the proper treatment. Eventually referred to BC Women's Hospital, I received the treatment I needed to get my life back.

Following surgery, I made the decision to share my story to help spread awareness about the disease. BC Women's Hospital has kindly featured my story in a number of their campaigns.

During March 2019's Endometriosis Awareness Month, I took it upon myself to pitch my story to media outlets across BC in an attempt to raise awareness about the disease.

The response was phenomenal. See the links below under 'media'.
